Food and beverages technologists (technicians) assist food scientists to research and experiment on food and liquids in laboratories. They deal with food processing, quality assessment and hygiene during production. They perform standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to determine physical or chemical properties of food and beverages. In our vocational high school, Food and Beverages technicians are taught general subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Greek, as well as specialization subjects such as Organic Agriculture, Food Processing and Food Safety. Particular emphasis is put on the work done in our laboratories. After finishing their three-year vocational high school, they acquire a level 4 certificate and can participate in the university and technological institute entrance examinations. They can enter any school in the field of Agriculture and Environment.
